Worsham ended his 21-year driving career days after finally winning NHRA's 2011 Top Fuel title. He transitioned into a crew chief role with rookie Alexis DeJoria with the Kalitta team, which ultimately opened the door for his return to racing. Worsham will replace Jeff Arend, who drove the Funny Car from late 2008 through this season. He'll be teammates with DeJoria. Tommy DeLago will replace Worsham as crew chief for DeJoria. Worsham has 33 career wins, 25 in Funny Car. He won eight races with Al-Anabi in his 2011 Top Fuel championship season. That was his first NHRA title but second overall — he also won the 1992 IHRA Funny Car championship.
